What You’ll Need to Draw a Strawberry Lemonade
I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:

But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.
I got it because I loved that you get access to a continuously-updated vault of free natural brushes and other materials made by pros to speed up & elevate your drawing process, perfect for beginners.
And you get all of that for a lifetime just by paying once (gasp)! Trust me, those monthly membership fees add up and I want you to be happily creating cute art without breaking the bank💵🚫.
But anyways, choose your non-lethal drawing weapon and let’s get started!
How to Draw a Strawberry Lemonade Step-by-Step
1. Draw the Lemonade Glass
So first, draw a soft L curve. This will start to form the lemonade glass.

So now, continue that curve until you have a full ‘U’ shape for the glass outline.

So next, draw a circle at the top to give it a rim.

2. Draw the Straw
Then a little sip sip of your lemonade is a must. So we need a straw (sparkle sparkle).
So draw a diagonal straight line so that it extends above the glass rim but doesn’t reach the bottom of the ‘U’ shape. This is the left side of the straw.

Then draw another diagonal line parallel to the first.

So now, add a circle at the top for the straw opening and a curve at the bottom as well.

3. Draw the Lemonade Outline
Then we need our lemonade to sip on. So draw another circle about 1/3 into the glass. But make sure it doesn’t touch the sides of the glass.

So next, start drawing a soft L curve down from the circle inside the glass.

Then continue it across until it forms a ‘U’ shape that connect to the right side of the circle inside the glass.
That’ll form our lemonade outline so Strawbaby cat has something to drink later.

4. Draw a Lemon Slice
So after that, draw a circle on the left side of the cup. This is when we start jazzing up our drink with lemon slices!

So next, draw a thin border around the first circle to form the rind of your lemon.

Then divide your lemon into six triangles.

So then, add 1 more line next to each dividing line so that your lemon isn’t giving pizza slice.

So next, draw 1 small curve on either side of the lines touching the rind. This will help your lemon look more juicy.

5. Draw Strawberries at the Bottom of the Glass
Then start to draw a ‘c’-shaped curve at the bottom of the glass. This is your first strawberry!✨

So now, continue drawing ‘c’-shaped curves for each strawberry.

Then you should have a row of strawberries like you see below!

6. Draw the Unmixed Strawberry Syrup
So after that, draw a wavy line just above your row of strawberries for the syrup that’s been left unmixed.

7. Draw Ice Cubes
Then, we need to add lemonade’s bestie, ice cubes. So first, draw a square as one face of your ice cube.

So now, draw 2 more square faces to form an ice cube. Don’t worry if it’s not a perfect cube.

Then we can’t leave one lonely ice in the lemonade. So next, draw another square face of a new ice cube.

Then, complete the ice cube and add one more beside it.

Then, draw a ton of ice cubes wherever your heart tells you to but towards the top since ice floats.

8. Draw a Strawberry in the Gap Left
Then, draw 1 other strawberry to fill the gap left in the drink space.
To do that, draw a ‘c’ curve for the fruit and add a pill shape on top with two loops for the leaves.

But also, because we’re boujee, we need a little glass rim fruit garnish. So start by drawing a floating curve on the top left of your page.

Then, draw two more curved lines so it looks like a shield attached to the glass rim.

So now, draw a border around your shield-shaped lemon.

Then, divide it into 3 sections.

Now, give it its Spidey moment and add a webbed curve like that between your fingers on either end of the divisions.
But also, draw a wide curve on the broad end of your lemon wedge for the rind.

Then, draw another dome-like shape for the strawberry on your glass rim.

So next, we have a jump scare but 🍓strawbaby cat edition🍓. He got impatient and decided to help you make his drink.
You can learn to draw the strawberry cat here but once you’re done, draw a cube in his paw.

Then, draw some vertical wavy lines and another ice cube above the lemonade. This is Strawbaby cat hating on your ice to drink ratio.

So next, draw some curved stripes along the straw and that’s the end of the sketch portion (woot woot)!

How to Color the Lemonade Juice Drawing
Color Parts of Strawbaby Cat’s Body White
First, color the parts of Strawbaby cat that shouldn’t be showing white. For instance, his body behind the straw and glass.

Color the Lemonade & Citrus Slices Yellow & Orange
Then, color the lemonade yellow. I picked a murky yellow but something brighter would work as well.

Then, oop- our lemon slices have been transformed into oranges. I thought it’d be a nice contrast against the yellow lemonade.
But, we can also delulu ourselves into thinking they’re dehydrated citrus wheels.

So next, color the rind an orange-yellow color.

Color the Strawberries & Straw Pink and Green
Then, because Strawbaby is a little self-absorbed, he wants the strawberries to match his skin tone. So color them peach pink.

Next, color the rest of the lemon yellow. But also, color alternating stripes of the straw and the strawberry top green.

Color the Ice and Glass Blue
So now, it’s time for our blues. Start by coloring one ice cube blue but leave a white border in each square.

Then, repeat that with the other ice cubes! And color translucent blue areas along the sides, bottom, and emphasize the back of the glass.

Add Depth to the Straw, Fruit, and Glass
So now, it’s time for our bestie, the ‘Multiply’ layer.
First, draw a thick translucent green line along the straw. Then, in a normal layer, color the strawberry syrup red.

So next, add shadows to the strawberries in another ‘Multiply’ layer.

Then, still in a ‘Multiply’ layer, color the citrus wheels along the ‘v’ of each pulp section.

Next, draw translucent red squiggles for strawberry-stained pulp. This is optional.

Then, in a ‘Multiply’ layer, color darker red along the bottom of the syrup in a wave-like motion.

So after that, I added a curved shadow along the right side of the glass in a ‘Multiply’ layer using a light purple-grey color.

Then, I added a darker blue to the back of the glass and along the right to emphasize the shadow. And that’s all for shadows (yay on making it this far!).

Airbrush Highlights in a ‘Screen’ Layer
So now, onto highlights!
Strawbaby cat wants his fruit to be glowing so in a ‘Screen’ layer, or using a translucent white color, airbrush the center of each section of the oranges.

Then, airbrush a pale yellow along the top and left side of the lemonade. But also, add another highlight to the left side of the straw.

Then, because if the fruit glowing, Strawbaby needs his own Fenty glitter. So highlight the left side of his face.

So next, add a subtle highlight with a light red to the top of the syrup.

Then, add white dots along each strawberry for their seeds. But you can also use yellow.

Finally, I drew in some lighter squiggly lines in the drink for a touch of floating pulp.

Then that’s it. If you made it this far, congratulations! Strawbaby cat needed a partner for his bartending journey and we’re honored to have you as a part of it <3.
