What You’ll Need to Draw Strawberry Yakult Cat

I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:

But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.

How to Draw Strawberry Yakult Cat Step-by-Step

How to Draw Strawberry Yakult Cat

1. Draw the Yakult Bottle

So first, draw a curved brown line on the bottom left of your page with a brown pen.

So next, let’s just go all in & make a ‘u’ shape with a little Shakira hip moment (the sides are extended out).

Then, snatch the waist of the bottle with a short curve in on the left.

Repeat the waist snatching on the right side of the bottle.

So now, we need to draw a ‘[‘ to really give it the yakult shape.

So next, draw a line slanted up on the left side of the bottle.

Then, draw the full rectangle bent inwards with 2 curved lines between the square brackets & another line slanted up on the right side.

2. Draw the Bottle Cover & Label

So now, let’s start on the bottle cap with this first ‘L’ shaped line.

Then, draw a scalloped edge for the bottle cap to reach its peak potential of slay.

Then, finish off on the right side!

So now, we’re going to draw the rest of the bottle cover like this and a wide semicircle in the bottom right of the bottle for part of the label.

So next, draw 2 mini mountain shapes as cat ears.

Then, for the cat’s face, draw 2 small circles & caterpillar shapes for his eyebrows & eyes respectively.

Then, draw a mini yakult with a straw & a small ‘w’ shape for his mouth.

Then, to highlight that he’s really going at it, draw a soft bracket on each side of the ‘w’ shape.

But also, add another scalloped edge to each inner ear to make strawberries!

So, our yakult is just floating right now so draw half a baguette for his paw.

Then, draw a rock-like shape for the 1st strawberry.

And then, add a strawberry top like this like an edgeless rectangle that has a looped edge on one side.

So next, draw more strawberries randomly on the bottle where it feels right.

But also, draw some small teardrops because a drink must have drips of liquid on its label.

Finally, for the sketch, write the word, “yakult” in bubble letters and change the “A” to a strawberry to really serve strawberry-core.

How to Color the Strawberry Yakult Drawing

1. Add Flat Colors

So first, such a plot twist but we’re going to color the bottle pink.

Then, color the fruit and letters red.

So now, color the leaves green so they can peacefully photosynthesize.

2. Shade to the gods

But now, it’s time to get our Multiply layer out in CSP above our flat color layer.

So first, take the pink color and airbrush under the rectangle, along the left, and bottom of the bottle.

But also, shade red along the left and bottom edge of the cover.

3. Add Highlights to Glow

Then, in a Screen layer, airbrush pink along the top right corner of the yakult bottle.

But also, draw a curved ‘!’ across the bottle cap.

Finally, add some white lines to the strawberries too.

Then that’s it!
