How to Draw a Soda Can Step-by-Step
1. Break Down the Can into Simple Shapes
So first, draw a brown circle at the top of the page.
So now, draw 2 vertical lines curved at the top. Continue further down from each end of the circle.
So next, mirror the downwards line on the left <3.

Then start to curve the bottom of the soda can on the right side.
Then connect the bottom to finish the outline.
2. Draw the Can Tab
So now, draw the tab of the soda can as an elongated ‘D’ shape.

Then draw the details! So first, add a jellybean shape and another ‘D’ shape inside <3.
So next, add a 3D aspect to it by adding a curved line on the right side of the tab. Then, mirror a smaller ‘D’ shape on the other side for the can opening.
3. Draw the Soda Liquid
Then draw a sweeping line inside the can.
So after that, continue it towards the right and loop it back to give your soda some flow.
So next, draw a vertical line down from the left side of your liquid wave.
Then mirror that on the right!
So then, connect the soda outline at the bottom.
4. Draw the Soda Can Label
So next, draw 2 parallel curved lines for the soda can lab in the middle of the can.
5. Draw the Details of the Label
Then, add a curve on the bottom right of the label. But also, erase unneeded lines as you go <3.
So now, add 2 cat ears.
Then, draw 3 ‘c’ curves below the inner curve of each ear to make a strawberry! But also, draw a caterpillar-like shape for each eye.
So after that, draw a bracket curve, ‘)’ for the cat’s mouth.
Then, add a wobbly circle with a smaller bracket curve, ‘(‘ on the right of the wobble!
But if you’re committing to the vibe, draw a soda dribble under the cat’s mouth.
So now, draw the cat holding a soda can.
Then write ‘SODA’ in bubble letters in the middle top of the soda can label drawing.
So next, let’s add some strawberries! First, draw ‘c’ dome shapes for the fruit of the strawberry randomly across the label.
Then, draw the strawberry leaves as a baguette shape.
Then it’s time for fun details on the label! Add some random embellishments like a sparkle or a twirl.
6. Draw the Soda Bubbles
But also, add some circles of different sizes in the soda liquid. These will be bubbles!
Then draw a curved punctuation mark, ‘!’ to add a little definition to your bubbles.
7. Draw the Soda Straw
So now, we need a straw! To do so, draw a slanted line through the can opening towards the bottom of the liquid.
So after that, draw a parallel line to your desired straw width.
Then, connect the bottom with a curve and the top with a circle.
But also, draw some stripes to make the straw interesting and some defining lines along the top of your can!
Don’t forget to erase as you go so the straw looks more natural in your strawberry soda can drawing <3.
How to Color the Strawberry Soda Can Drawing
1. Color the Can Pink
So now it’s time to start coloring! First, color the outer border of the can base pale pink.
2. Color the Soda Liquid Dark Pink
But also, color the soda liquid a saturated pink.
3. Color the Can Tab & Label Green
Then, color the top of the can and the label background pale green.
4. Color the Strawberries Red and Green
But also, color the strawberry fruit red on the label.
So next, color the strawberry leaves green.
5. Color the Straw & Soda Label
Then, color the strips of the straw a yellow-green color :).
But also, color ‘SODA’ and the cat’s body and ears light pink!
Then, color the cat’s mouth and parts of the mini soda can red as well.
But we also need strawberry seeds so draw yellow dots on each strawberry!
6. Add Shadows!
Then, it’s time for shadows <3. So first, color the can top and along the right and bottom side of the can pink in a ‘Multiply’ layer.
Then, add green shadows along the outer circle of the can top, tab, and opening.
So now, color a dark pink shadow in a circular shape along the bottom of the liquid and across the top loop.
I also added a small shadow at the top left of the liquid but that’s optional!

7. Add Highlights & Color Line Art!
So now, let’s add highlights <3. Start by coloring pale pink along the left side of the can.
Then, draw a white curved ‘!’ along each strawberry.
Finally, lock the layer you drew the bubbles and liquid border in. Then, color the lines pale pink.
Then that’s it!
