I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:
But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.

But anyways, choose your non-lethal drawing weapon and let’s get started!
How to Draw Cream Puffs Easy Step-by-Step
1. Draw the Top Puff Pastry
So first, draw a curve like this towards the top of your page. But make sure to leave a gap at the very top so you can add more slay to your drawing later🐇🎀
So now, let’s draw some more curves! Cream puffs are super bumpy (in the best, most delicioso way🌷) so that’s why we’re going crazy with the curves.
But there is a gap between the curves on the left which we can connect later together✨

So it should look something like this!✨ It’s a little asymmetrical but overall similar.

Then we need to draw the previously mentioned slay features. So draw 2 mountains as cat ears!
Then, draw 2 small curves between the ears and connect the gaps between the other curves. If it looks rough, that’s fine, we’ll fix it up as we go, pookie🌷
2. Draw the Jam and Cream Filling
So now, let’s draw the strawberry filling. Since it’s semi-mashed strawberry jam, draw some bulbous curves of varying sizes but all smaller than the pastry.
So next, draw some uniformly wide curves below the strawberries for the cream of the puff pastry.

3. Draw the Bottom Pastry
So next, we’re going for a chonkster of a curve below the cream. This is the puff pastry bottom!
Then, draw a similarly huge curve to keep making the bottom.
So next, draw one tiny curve since the cream puff pastry was bulking up in the oven.
Then, mirror the left side of the pastry bottom to complete it✨.
4. Draw the Face
So now, draw his face! This is Strawbaby Cat if he were a cream puff so that’s why his face looks like that.
5. Draw Strawbaby Cat’s Outline
So now, gasp x3, Strawbaby Cat himself appeared! So draw this outline of a cat ― you can follow this tutorial until you have his face done🐇🎀. Then, come back because the kids ie me miss you over here🌷
But also, draw strawberries inside his ears.
6. Draw Defining Lines
So next, erase any offensive lines getting in Strawbaby Cat’s way🧍♀️. I also drew some small curved lines in the cream so it looks like it was piped.
So now, let’s draw some more curved lines in the puff pastry bottom to show the baking oven scars he got.
Then, repeat that for the top of the pastry! He’s not misunderstood, he’s just scarred…with deliciousness😶🌫️

How to Color the Pastry Drawing Vector
1. Color the Cat
Then, we’re in for such a large step?? That’s because I just inserted this cat face from this tutorial (I linked it earlier but here it is again for your convenience xoxo).
So then, sample the left color of the cat’s face to color his left paw. Then, repeat that for the right. That’s the slay way, girlies et al🐇🎀

2. Color the Strawberry Filling Red
Then, color the strawberry jam filling light red.
3. Color the Pastry Brown
But we can’t leave our pastry in its uggo state so color the pastry a brown color. If you hate the color, we’ll fix it up later. This is just the base✨
Then, color the leaves green and the strawberry fruit the same red as the jam.
4. Add Slay Shadows
Then, in a Multiply layer, airbrush the bottom and right sides of the pastry🐇🎀
So now, let’s shade the strawberry red! Airbrush a diagonal shadow across each strawberry in his ears.
Then, shade the strawberry jam along the top and bottom.
Then, shade the lines on one side. But also, you’ll notice one shadow without a line and that’s…well just add it and you’ll see why it’s there later hehe✨

Then, shade brown under the cat’s face. His face is so imposing that the shadow is just huge.
So now, shade behind the right side of the cat in the cream. This is honestly a tiny shadow so it’ll be okay if you don’t include it.
Then, his strawberry crown deserves its moment too so shade behind the strawberry.
5. Airbrush Highlights in a ‘Screen’ Layer
Now, it’s Fenty highlight time!
Not even cream puffs deserve to be deprived of their glow. So, using the same base brown, airbrush along the center of the pastry halves in a Screen layer.
This left a glaringly obvious gap in the bottom pastry which spoiler, is from a layer that I accidentally left hidden this whole time🧍♀️
So, just ignore it and highlight in that area as well.
Then, airbrush a white circle in each strawberry! Everyone needs a glow moment.
MR. BON TIP 🐇: Remember that if you’re using a ‘Screen’ layer, you can use the same shade you originally colored with.
So next, highlight the top left diagonal of the strawberries in his ears.
Then, airbrush some circles and along the lines opposite to the shadow in the pastry halves.
As you can see, there’s a mysterious cloud shape defined in the bottom pastry so just add the highlight details and we’ll fill it in later🐇🎀.
So next, airbrush a light pink highlight along the left side of the cat’s face.

Then, oh wow, the mysterious cloud shape makes its appearance…finally🧍♀️As you can see, Strawbaby Cat is having fun throwing cream around and one landed on the pastry!
So, draw some cloud shapes where you see below. Then, draw curved lines between his paws and the clouds to show he’s throwing them.
