So you think you can handle the spice? Just kidding, this is a super quick tutorial on how to draw a pepper easy! The bell kind, at least.
Not only am I serving up a yellow pepper line drawing, I’m also giving you green and red peppers too (gasp!). So let’s get to drawing.

What You’ll Need to Draw a Pepper Easy
I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:
But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.

How to Draw a Pepper Easy Step-by-Step
1. Draw a Pepper Outline
So first, draw 2/3 of a “w”. I didn’t want to overwhelm you with a full “w” off the bat ✨
Ahem, I know this may be a bit early but if you could check out my other work while you’re here, that’d be so slay🐇🎀
So now, draw a “u” curve. It’s one more small step to the “w” base for our pepper🌷

So next, continue the end of that last curve upwards until we finally snag a “w” shape 🎀

How to Draw a Pepper Easy
Then, oop- we’re jumping to the left side of the drawing so add a line curving out at the top of the pepper.
But also, repeat that 2 more times, mirroring the opposite side so you have the pepper drawing outline almost unlocked.
So now, draw half a baguette on top the middle curve as the pepper stem 🐇🎀
But also, draw some 2 curved lines at the valley of each “v” point where a real pepper would have 3 bulged sections.
Oh wow, the self-promo is endless :O. Just one more tutorial please, sir👐
How to Draw a Pepper Easy
So then, oh my, a surprise circle (gasp x3). It’s not over until it’s over, girlies et al 🐇🌷
Then, draw 2 caterpillar shapes as Strawbaby Cat’s eyes. It’s his signature so we can’t rob him of that🐇🎀
But yay! That’s it for the sketch so let’s get coloring🌷
How to Color the Pepper Line Drawing
1. Add the Flat Colors
So first, color his face beige.
Then, let’s color the pepper green.
But also, color his eyes green so he’s matching in green pepper slay 🌷

So then, I know some of you may be absolutely feral for a yellow moment so I included a yellow alternative as well 🐇🎀
Then, color the pepper light red ✨
2. Add Slay Shadows
But also, airbrush a red shadow on the bottom right of the pepper. You can replicate this with either the green or yellow pepper.
MR. BON TIP 🐇: Remember that if you’re using a ‘Multiply’ layer, you can use the same shade you originally colored with.
So now, airbrush a shadow along the segmenting line and at the bottom of the stem 🎀

Then, shade the center of each section to give the pepper a little extra pizzazz ✨
I also added a yellow shadow on the bottom of the yellow circle so his face looks “scary”. Because the grumpy Strawbaby Cat is a tough boy.

4. Airbrush Highlights in a ‘Screen’ Layer
So then, airbrush light red in a screen layer along the left side of the pepper, cat face, and stem. You can also airbrush one side of the dividing lines but I won’t fight you if you don’t want to 🌷.

But also, you can gradient map your red pepper to yellow or green! Select edit > tonal correction > gradient map and select either a yellow or green gradient (woot woot, digital art slay🎀)
