What You’ll Need to Draw a Pancake Easy

I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:

But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.

How to Draw a Pancake Easy Step-by-Step

1. Draw the Pancake Stack

So first, draw a wide curve at the bottom of your page🌷✨

So now, draw a curve upwards on either side to different heights.

So then, draw a sloping line to connect both sides. That’s our first pancake!

Then, the 2nd pancake is going to have a special surprise so draw a sweeping curve like you see below, girlies et al🐇🎀

Then, finish the top of your pancake by curving it downwards and to the right like below. This leaves the perfect gap for a cutie patootie!

So, spoiler, there’s an incoming Strawbaby Cat (wowow so shocking)! But we can’t leave our cat unable to throw hands. So let’s draw his paws as 2 circles overlapping the top of pancake 1.

So for now, we’re going to ignore our kinder surprise. Instead, draw a large curve arching upwards🐇🎀

Then, mirror this on the right side. Our pancake stack is looking a little coo coo crazy right now but it’ll be fixed before our hypothetical guests see anything wrong.

How to Draw a Pancake Easy

2. Draw the Cats Peeking Out

So next, connect the gap with a broken line. Then, continue the broken line pattern in a circular shape since we’ll see the pancake top we’re eating🌷.

Then, draw a sloping line at the bottom of the top pancake to show a gap in the stack.

So after that, erase the offensive lines in the paws. But also, draw half of a teardrop shape (if it fell on its side) in the bottom right of pancake 1🎀 ✨The surprises are multiplying✨

Then, in that gap you just drew, draw a butt! You only need to draw a small line on the left of the gap so there’s a tiny triangle of gap remaining.

Then, draw an oval for his left paw.

Then, draw another smaller oval for his right paw.

So then, draw some curved lines above the butt crawling in your pancakes. This will show the stress he’s putting on the pancake with all his 🌷booty🌷

So next, draw some cat ears on top of very top pancake as soft triangles.

So now, draw 2 caterpillar shapes for the top pancake’s eyes. It’s Strawbaby Cat’s 1st appearance🌷

Then, draw a small frown as a ‘^’ shape and 2 whiskers on either side of his face.

So now it’s time to dress our pancakes starting with butter. So draw, a rounded square, not connected at its corners.

4. Draw the Butter & Strawberries

Then, turn it into a melting cube by drawing 3 short lines at 3 of the corners and 2 horizontal connecting lines. That’s the slay way, girlies et al🐇🎀

Then, since it’s melting, draw a wavy puddle around your cube.

So now, we need syrup so our hypothetical customers aren’t choking on souffle pancakes. So, draw wavy icicles of different lengths to show that.

Then, keep doing that but drip one icicle further down for some variety before bringing it back up to connect to the top pancake again.

But also, draw a strawberry beside the left paw as an incomplete dome.

Then, repeat that for 2 more strawberries.

So next, draw a strawberry leaf top as a nub with a 3-part cloud underneath it atop the left strawberry.

Then, draw another cloud shape on the bottom of the next strawberry for its leaves. Because who are we to strip it of its leafage? But also, draw 2 almond-shaped leaves for garnish🌷

Then, draw the leaf veins as branching lines.

So next, draw 3 lines by the cat’s butt.

Then, draw a cloud! I’m sure some of you see the breezy surprise this cat butt has in store for us🎀

Finally, draw the word, “poot” in bubble letters.

How to Color the Pancake Cat Drawing

1. Add the Flat Colors

So now, this may seem sudden but he’s colored fully here. To be honest, I just copy pasted him from my strawberry cat drawing tutorial🐇🎀

So, I hope you can do the same but don’t forget to come back because the kids I’ll miss you.

Then, color the top pancake and the gaps tan.

But after that, color the rectangular parts of the pancakes beige. We’re serving 🌷toasty souffle pancakes🌷 to our guests.

But also, color the syrup and cat butt pink since they’re both strawberry.

Then, our strawberries are getting jealous so give them a red moment.

But also, don’t deprive them of their seeds. Draw some tiny white dots. They don’t have to be perfect, they just have to be on there.

Then, color the leaves and caterpillar shapes green.

Next, color the butter yellow.

That’s it for the flat colors so yay in making it this far! Here’s a medal to celebrate 🏅

Then, color pink along the inner lines of the speech cloud.

2. Add Slay Shadows

So next, color a red shadow along the right side of each strawberry 🍓✨

MR. BON TIP 🐇: Remember that if you’re using a ‘Multiply’ layer, you can use the same shade you originally colored with.

Then, shade pink along the outer edges of the syrup and under the melting butter 🧈

So next, shade the outer edges of the melting butter and along the side faces of the butter cube 🧈🌷

Then, shade tan on the first pancake under the syrup, following its edges.

But also, lightly shade tan along the bottom of the top pancake, especially along the right side 🥞.

So next, repeat that for the bottom pancakes so they look toasty & our pancake customers will eat them up 🍽️.

Then, shade tan along the right of the bottom pancake 🥞

So next, add a pink shadow along the top of the cat’s butt and his paws.

3. Airbrush Highlights in a ‘Screen’ Layer

Then, every syrup cat deserves their own Fenty glitter glow. So in a screen layer, color light pink along the opposite side of the syrup cat’s pink face.

Then, color faint white blobs along the surface of the syrup and add light yellow highlights to the top left of the butter.

Your syrup aspires to glow like Edward Cullen 🧚✨

So after that, airbrush light beige across the left of the pancakes 🥞✨. The pancakes paid extra for that glow so they shall receive 🧚🎀.

But also, airbrush light pink on the center of the cat’s butt to give it the element of slay it deserves🍑🧚

Then, airbrush a light pink highlight across the left side of the face of the cat peeking out the pancakes 🐇🎀

Finally, airbrush white across the center and top left of the strawberries🍓🐇🎀. Because no berry shall be left behind in the road to glow.
