Beginner’s Ultimate Guide to Draw a Bingsu

How do you draw a bowl? Or how can you live laugh love without bingsu?

Let’s give you some joy with this super quick & easy bingsu bowl drawing!

What You’ll Need to Draw a Bowl

I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:

But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.

How do you Draw a Bowl Step-by-Step

1. Draw the Bowl Outline

So first, draw a moon shape with a floating curved line below it. That curved line will have a special fate later✨

So now, (gasp x3) that mysterious floating line was actually the base of the bowl. So go ahead and connect it to the crescent shape with a ‘(‘ curve on either side.

Then, round out the points of the top corners of the bowl.

So it should look something like this!✨ All you did here was erase any offensive edges🐇🎀

How do you Draw a Bowl

2. Draw the Bowl Decor

Then we need to add some pizazz to the bowl. So draw a cat face O_O.

Then let’s start filling up the bowl’s surface. I started with a strawberry, some curled loops, and uh..random shapes that matched the cat’s eyes👁️.

So now, keep filling it up! I added another cat face and oop- spoiler, 3 in-progress strawberries. But it’s freedom of choice girlies et al, you can add whatever makes your heart say “slay”🐇🎀

So here they are, the fully-formed strawberries✨

How do you Draw a Bowl

So next, I drew one more cat face! Clearly, it’s bottomless cat faces over here.

…It turns out I just threw you guys in the deep-end and did it all in this step. So here’s the fully-finished sketch of the bowl. But honestly, it’s just dots, lines, and twirls to fill up the space.

So it seems I lied. There’s actually one last addition to the bowl ― dripping icing along the edge. How could we deprive your hypothetical customers of the icing? 🐇🎀

3. Draw the Strawberries

What will they eat? Let’s give them cake strawberries!🍓So, draw some r-shaped lines about the size your strawberries will be.

I only did this to estimate the size (as a guide hehe✨). I’ll fix the shape in a quick minute.

Then, draw some round-ish shapes above the lid of your bowl for your strawberries. But don’t stress your perfectionist head about the shape as we’ll cover it up later.

So then, draw the last strawberry and a butt crack between the conjoined strawberries.

3. Draw the Bingsu Cat

So next, let’s draw a rough circle above the strawberries. I also lowered the opacity since this is just a guide that we’ll erase later.

So now, draw a wavy line along the circle.

So now, draw a cloud shape at the top. This is the whipped cream crown for the bingsu.

Then, draw a ‘n’ shaped curve for the topper strawberry. But also, erase the guide circle.

So then, erase the overlapping cream lines and draw some more curves in the cream to show the strawberry is embedded in it. That’s the slay way, girlies et al🐇🎀

Then, in one big step, draw the cat’s face, ears, and tail.

But we can’t leave our cat unable to throw hands. So draw two little paws on top of the strawberries!

Then, he needs to be melting a little to add extra cuteness. So draw wavy lines of varying lengths and sizes on top the strawberries.

Then, erase the ugly tops of the strawberries so you have something like this🐇🎀

How to Color the Bowl Line Drawing

1. Color the Bingsu

So now, let’s color the bingsu pink!

You may notice that the bottom is a slightly darker pink…but just ignore that. Think of it as foreshadowing the future but you can color it a flat pink for now.

2. Color the Strawberries

Then, color each strawberry red.

But also, color the leaves green.

3. Color the Bowl

Then, our bowl is getting jealous so give her a yellow and green moment.

Finally for the flat colors, color the cat faces pink as well.

Then, the strawberries deserves their moment too so draw some white or light pink dots on top of the red. Every strawberry deserves its seeds.

4. Add Slay Shadows

Now, lightly shade along the cat in a zig-zag motion but especially under the cream and above the strawberries. Bingsu has a shaved ice consistency so that’s why I’m giving it a jagged texture.

(P.S. I’m not a food expert, that’s just my take on it!)

Then, emphasize these shadows where you put them earlier. But also, make sure to get inside his ears.

MR. BON TIP 🐇: Remember that if you’re using a ‘Multiply’ layer, you can use the same shade you originally colored with.

So next, using the same red you colored your strawberry in a multiply layer, color a diagonal shadow across each strawberry.

Then, repeat that in yellow for the bowl.

So next, shade the along the green drips also in a ‘Multiply’ layer.

How do you Draw a Bowl

Then, shade along one side of each cat’s face on the bowl.

But also, add a diagonal shadow across the strawberries on the bowl.

5. Airbrush Highlights in a ‘Screen’ Layer

So next, it’s highlight time, people. So airbrush white across the center of each strawberry below the bingsu cat.

Then, every cat deserves their own Fenty glitter glow. So in a screen layer, color light pink along the cat ears opposite to where the shadow is.

Finally, airbrush a wavy highlight on the left side of the bingsu cat🎀.
