What You’ll Need to Draw Strawberry Wine Cat
I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:
But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.
I got it because I loved that you get access to a continuously-updated vault of free natural brushes and other materials made by pros to speed up & elevate your drawing process, perfect for beginners.
And you get all of that for a lifetime just by paying once (gasp)! Trust me, those monthly membership fees add up and I want you to be happily creating cute art without breaking the bank💵🚫.
But anyways, choose your non-lethal drawing weapon and let’s get started!
How to Draw Strawberry Wine Cat Step-by-Step
1. Draw a Wine Glass
So first, draw a wide oval at the top of your page using a brown pen.
Then, with a large swoop, draw an ‘L’-shaped curve on the left. I don’t know about you but I can already see our ✨iconic wine glass✨ forming.
So next, mirror that swooping curve on the right. We’ve already made it so far in this wine glass journey!🏅

Then, draw a long line down from the left side of your glass. That’s right, we’re making glass stems one line at a time. 🌷
Then, surprise surprise, we’re going to draw another long line on the right side of the glass. That’s definitely the most predictable plot line🧚🎀
So now, start widening the glass at the bottom with a little curve to the left.

Then, repeat that on the right side! Clearly, I took slow & steady wins the race very literally while making this for you. 🌷
We wouldn’t want to rob our glass of support so draw another wide oval like you see below.
Then, erase any offensive overlaps & start drawing some curves in the bottom oval for a little pizzazz.
Keep going 🧍♀️
2. Draw the Wine
And just like that, we’re done with the glass and onto the wine! Here’s your 2nd participation medal 🏅
So, start by drawing another swooping ‘L’ shape inside the glass for the wine liquid.
Then, keep going!
Can’t stop, won’t stop (at least until the wine outline is done :))
So next, draw some wavy lines as ripples in the wine. Even wines should be able to do a little jig without judgement.
Then, finish your ripples so they look like this:
3. Add the Snorkeling Cat
Gasp! Where’d the random cat come from? Oops, I guess he escaped from this tutorial here. 😉🐈⬛✨
So you can follow it & come back or if you’re a wine purist, hey, let’s meet back at the coloring section.
So let’s give him a snorkeling mask by drawing a thick cucumber-like outline around his eyes.
But then, give it a border.
But we also need to make sure it doesn’t just float off his face so add a strap with 2 lines curved upwards on the right side of the mask.
So now, let’s give him some flippers to swim speedily. To do that, draw the outline of a cracked eggshell 🥚or a spiky cartoon tulip flower🌷on each foot.
Then, add some tiny trailing circles by his face to show he’s breathing.
And yay, that’s it for the sketch so let’s get coloring👩🎨
How to Color the Wine Glass Drawing Step by Step
So first, color the wine light pink.
Then, airbrush the back & base of the glass blue since glasses will have different degrees of blue with the light refraction.
I was a little messy but it’s nothing to sweat over because we can always use our trusty erasers. 🌷
Then, color his scuba gear yellow.
Here, I colored the pink circle a darker pink in a multiply layer.
But then, I was feeling a sunset vibe so I decided to blend the dark pink with the light pink so there’s a bit of a pink gradient.
So next, airbrush yellow in a zig-zag in the wine to give it a little color variation.
Then, color yellow in a multiply layer in a curved motion along the right side of the drink.
Our wine wants to have its snatched moment so it need some shadows.
Then, I colored some yellow in the pink circle to make it more cohesive.
So now, color the bottom of the drink with a pink semicircle in a multiply layer.
Then, color a yellow line on each flipper in a multiply layer to give it some contour.
So next, you can use a white airbrush tool to draw a curved ‘!’ shape for some Fenty highlight.
But finally, lock the transparent pixels in CSP to color the glass outline blue & the outline of the drink and bubbles white.
I also outlined the scuba gear in yellow as well.
Then that’s it!
