But anyways, choose your non-lethal drawing weapon and let’s get started!
How to Make a Rose Cake Drawing Step by Step
So first, draw 2 socially-distancing vertical brown lines on your page.
Then, draw soft icicles as 1 long wavy line for the dripping icing & tiny circles for pearl icing at the bottom of your cake.
Then, because it’s a frosting palooza, draw a continuous set of ‘c’ curves above the dripped icing.
The fluffy cloud-like frosting should end up like this in a ring:
So now, I’m going to virtually hold your hand while you draw this main event rose. Start with the inner petals like so:
The light brown bit is what you already drew so add on the dark brown part.
Keep going 🧚🎨
Even more petals for the sake of flower power🌹🏵️
Keep drawing petals.
Then, let’s end it with the last petals & 3 almond-ish shapes for the surrounding leaves.
Fill the frosting gap and go crazy with adding more roses between the pearls and on the cake base.
But also, that glaring gap was actually for a bunny holding a bouquet!
So, draw a ‘m’ for the ears, a ‘L’ for the head, and a wavy body. The bouquet wrap is also a wavy upside-down cone.
Then, fill the bouquet cone wrapped with mini flowers.
For the sake of your mental peace, I think you should draw tiny tulips…way easier than the endless petal roses.
So now, onto the moon and clouds! Draw a crescent shape for the moon and ‘c’ curves for the clouds.
Finally, for the sketch, draw wobbly ovals and crescent shapes for falling petals!
So now, it’s time to leave thoughts behind and just color, starting with green.
Then, pink! The clouds are lightly airbrushed pink at their base.
So next, it’s yellow. I airbrushed the center of each rose petal yellow but the inner petals are fully pale yellow.
Then, it’s blue’s time.
And now, let’s shade the green and yellow parts. To do so, open a multiply layer or use a darker shade of green or yellow.
Then, trace dark green around the main rose on the 3 leaves & along the bottom edge of the green icing. Also, trace the cloud’s edge in dark yellow on the moon.
So now, for the blue shadows. Trace the right edge of each pearl, the inside and right side of the bunny and bouquet wrapper dark blue.
But also, for the water, draw dark blue blobs.
For the last shadows, it’s all pink. So, draw a dark pink line under the bunny and each petal. But also, trace the right side of each blue icicle.
Finally, color white on the left or top side of each leaf, moon, and water’s edge.
Yay, you’re done!
