What You’ll Need to Draw Rolled Ice Cream
So here are the basic things you need to attend Mr. Mocha Bon’s class today!
I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:
But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.
I got it because I loved that you get access to a continuously-updated vault of free natural brushes and other materials made by pros to speed up & elevate your drawing process, perfect for beginners.
And you get all of that for a lifetime just by paying once (gasp)! Trust me, those monthly membership fees add up and I want you to be happily creating cute art without breaking the bank💵🚫.
But anyways, choose your non-lethal drawing weapon and let’s get started!
The Rolled Ice Cream Drawing Step-by-Step
1. Draw the Ice Cream Cup
So first, draw a vertical brown line curving to the right slightly at the bottom. This, people, is the start of a very cutie drawing adventure 🧚🎀
So get in the zone. You are Indiana Jones if he had a touch of Picasso…or the other way around.

So now, swoop that line across to the right so our ice cream cup has some convex action 🧚🎀
So next, mirror your vertical line on the right so we have an overall “u” shape.

Then draw a long oval slightly overextending on both sides of the top to form the ice cream cup opening.
We’re feeding our customers well so the cup must be large🐇🎀.
Then draw another oval inside the 1st so we have a cup edge.
P.S. Here are some other super easy cake drawing tutorials you may find helpful!
2. Draw the Rolled Ice-Cream
So now, draw this wobbly oval…it’s not my hand shaking. That’s how it was meant to be so just let it happen.

Then, draw this swirl inside the oval. Don’t get hypnotized. Because the swirl has no power over you.
So next, draw 2 vertical lines down from the oval.
Then add another small oval next to the first.
So after that, draw a swirl. We’re getting our rolled ice-cream one swirl at a time 🍦🧚
So next, draw a line down from the oval on the right.

Then a short social distance away, draw another oval angled down to the right.
So then, draw another swirl.
So next, add another roll-up but bigger.
3. Draw Strawberries
Then, draw an oval up until the end of the most left roll-up. Because we only want chonky strawberries out here.
So now, draw another strawberry after erasing the cup behind the 1st strawberry.
But draw it along the cup’s curve so that each strawberry gets closer to front-facing, the closer it is to the center and more angled to the left or right, the further it is from the center.
Woah, are these cute drawing tutorials perfectly matched to you? Idk, maybe you should find out xoxo.
Then, add another strawberry.
More strawberries 🧍♀️🍓
Then, one last dandelion strawberry 🍓🌻
4. Fill the Cup with More Roll-Ups
So now, draw 2 more ovals in the bottom of the cup. It’s a hidden surprise the ice-cream girlies deserve 🍦🎀
Then erase the back of the cup offensively getting in the roll-ups way.
So next, draw more swirls! It’s not over until it’s over.

Then, erase the part of the swirl that overlaps the strawberries.
5. Draw Whipped Cream & the Cup Design
Then it’s whipped cream time! So, draw two “c” curves to start forming the cream cloud ☁️🌫️
But also, draw some long sweeping lines to remix your cloud from a super bouncy shape.
Then, swoop the next line down like this:
But also, mirror the left side “c” curves on the right to finish off the cloud base.
Then, we can’t leave our 1 swoop alone so draw some more wavy lines in the middle of the cloud shape.
So next, let’s start on our cup design because right now it’s giving bland and empty and we could never ✋
So first, draw a rock shape. Spoiler, it’s a strawberry 🧍♀️Truly the plot twist none of us saw coming.
Then, add a smaller one to the left so that the strawberry has a bestie 🌞🌻
But next, draw the strawberry top as an oval with a looped bottom.
Then, repeat that for the other strawberry so it’s not naked and afraid. But also, draw a speech bubble cloud shape around that.
Oh me oh my. Look at all these drawings that you could easily recreate! (What a slay)
Then, give it a border so it’s protected from the haters.

So next, write “Ice Cream” in bubble letters up the side of the cup.
Then, draw one curved line in the top right of the cup so it forms a pizza shape.
And all in one bold step, let’s give the cat its face and ears because he won’t be deprived any longer…of his face.
Then, give his inner ears a scalloped edge as they’re on their way to becoming strawberries. Because they couldn’t fight that strawberry feeling.
But then, we must give him a paw so he can toss a mini rolled ice-cream in his mouth to prove it’s delicioso.
So after that, add a cat drawing to your strawberry ice-cream! Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to draw this cute strawberry cat.
How to Color the drawing of ice cream in a bowl
1. Add Flat Colors
So first, we need to make the cat look like he’s supposed to be here so color his body white wherever it overlaps with a roll or berry.

Then, color the cup yellow because it’s a slay color to go with pink and green.
But also, add your reds, greens. and pinks.
Then, unevenly color the cream pink. We want it to serve texture so don’t color it fully pink. But also, color the roll-ups a darker pink and the strawberries red.
Then, get your teeny tiny pen out and dot yellow on the strawberries following its natural curve.
2. Obscured in Shadow 😶🌫️
So now, take a chonky yellow airbrush and swoop along the bottom right of the cup so the cat is all obscured in the shadows.
But also, swoop another yellow shadow along and under the rim of the cup because it deserves a shadow slay as well.
So next, airbrush a pink shadow along the bottom and the side bordering the next roll-up.
Then, airbrush a red shadow on one side of each strawberry except the middle where the light hits the center.
You can let your heart lead you but there is a right answer 🌞 But also, don’t forget his strawberry ears because they deserve a little contour as well.
Gasp, the amount of drawings I have for you is absolutely crazy. But, this time I even threw in some drawing prompts hehe.
Then, using a light purple grey color in a ‘Multiply’ layer, airbrush a line across one side of each strawberry and below all of them.
Because our strawberries must be contoured to the gods 🪂🏙️
So next, color pastel pink in swirls along the cream so it looks marbled and bright.
Because our ice-cream cup was looking a bit dark and dreary and that’s not in the customer service package.
3. Shining Bright like the Gem It Is
So now, it’s time to legally blind a passersby with ice-cream slay by drawing white lines along the strawberry design, his ears, and his hand.
But also, airbrush a light pink highlight along the left side of his face to make him glow and hurt everyone’s corneas.
Finally, airbrush a large exclamation mark on the left side of the cup in white and lower the opacity of the layer until it looks its Sunday best 🫅
Then that’s it!
