What You’ll Need to Draw a Strawberry Smoothie

I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:

But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.

How to Draw a Strawberry Smoothie Step-by-Step

1. Draw the Smoothie Toppings

So first, draw a soft bracket shape, “(” at the top of your page using a brown pen. This, cutie patooties, is the start of your yum yum smoothie drawing 🌞✨

So you have a little drawing fever (gasp). Maybe one of these can be your antidote hehe 🧚✨

So now, draw a ton of curved lines trailing down to the left of different sizes. Because what do we live for if not a smoothie mountain?

So next, repeat that on the left but make her asymmetrical because she’s not like other girls 👧💅

2. Draw the Smoothie Glass

Then, in one large swoop, draw the left side of the glass hosting your slay smoothie.

Then, draw the other side <3.

So now, add some soft icicle shapes to show the smoothie dripping down the top of the glass. Because we had a spill of yum yum in someone’s tum tum.

How to Draw a Strawberry Smoothie Cat

Then, draw a curve inside the cup below the dripping top.

So next, continue that border on the left side of the cup.

Then, finish it off on the right.

3. Draw a Straw

But the pointy edges of the inner border were rage-inducing or at least depriving our smoothie of its peak slay💅✨, so round those off.

Then, draw a diagonal line in the spillage to start making the 🧃straw🧃

So next, draw a parallel line in the overflowing smoothie. If you squint, you can almost see a straw worthy of our smoothie 🌻🌞

Then, erase the smoothie edge running through the straw and start adding these swooping lines in the straw.

But also, draw 2 small “c” curves to show the straw is buried in the smoothie and not floating through an existential crisis 🧍‍♀️🌌

So then, finish off your straw with more stripes and a tiny oval opening at the top to sip that good soup smoothie.

4. Add Strawberry Toppings

So next, draw some rock-like shapes for the strawberries 🍓✨

Add more 🧍‍♀️🌞

Then, even more because can’t stop, won’t stop drawing strawberries ✏️

5. Add a Strawberry Cat Drawing

So after that, add a cat drawing to your strawberry smoothie! Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to draw this cute strawberry cat.

Then, draw these 3 little stubs to show his arm is flailing because oh my, he can’t swim 🏊‍♀️

So now, repeat that on the other side and add 4 sets of 2 short stacked lines to better show the flailing motion and 2 small bubbles to finish it off 🫧

How to Color the Strawberry Smoothie Drawing

1. Add the Flat Colors (Bob Color-Building Core)

So first, grab your airbrush in your drawing software and color lines of blue of different lengths along the border of the glass.

We’re gonna grip refraction by the throat in just a few discount Bob Ross airbrush strokes✨🖌️🖼️

So next, color the strawberries red and add tiny white dots on their surface.

Then, color the leftover white areas except the straw a dull pink. But we will give it a little pizzazz so don’t panic.

Then, color alternating stripes of the straw yellow and color the cat’s arms his pink skin color.

So next, color the smoothie a dark pink along the inside of the overflow, behind the cat’s body, and randomly throughout the drink.

But inside the drink, I also roughly blended it to get that striated effect for the purpose of ✨slay✨.

Then, I colored along the edges of the strawberries light purple-grey in a ‘Multiply” layer. Because they’re main characters so they must be seen 👁️

So next, do the same but with red. Because they need to look juicy and worthy of our customer’s coin 💰

Then, draw 1 yellow line along the left side of the straw in a ‘Multiply’ layer as well because even straws deserve their moment 💅

But also, in a lighter pink, drag your blender along wherever your heart thinks it fells right to in the smoothie’s body.

Because then, it looks like a pretty pink sunset 🌇

Then, take a yellow airbrush and color in the center of each strawberry then lower the opacity of the layer you do this on.

But finally, draw a white line along the left or top of each strawberry, the glass, and along the dripping edge of the smoothie.

Then, yay that’s it!
