What You’ll Need to Draw a Strawberry House

I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:

But I will be drawing it digitally on my tablet using the most affordable software I know, Clip Studio Paint.

How to Draw a Strawberry House Step-by-Step

1. Draw the Base Dome

So first, draw a dome🌷✨ I drew mine a bit wobbly but you can take the extra time to make it look extra perfect.

So now, draw a soft triangular shape on the top left of the dome.

So then, repeat that on the right side. That’ll give us cat ears!✨

2. Draw the Strawberry Leaves

Then, draw some ‘c’ curves at the bottom of your dome, girlies et al🐇🎀 Because we’re serving strawberry leaf architecture.

I also purposefully left a gap in the middle for the steps to the house.

3. Draw the Door & Steps

Then, draw a ‘n’ curve in the central bottom of the strawberry house. Then, add a bracket curve on either side as a border. This is our unfinished door🌷

So now, finish the top of the door with a cat ear headband so your heart can say “slay”🐇🎀

So now, let’s start adding steps. I did this as a long cloud shape at the bottom of the door’s inner curve.

How to Draw a Strawberry House

So next, I drew a cloud border only along the bottom because this is a step.

Then, repeat that for the step below until you fill the gap! But also, mirror the curves of the strawberry leaves to finish them off.

Then, how can you get in with no door knob? The people (you) will rage without it. So, draw a closed dome shape on the middle right of your door🎀

Then, draw a 3-part cloud to make strawberry leaves. If your soul isn’t screaming strawberry yet, there’s still more to come.

Then, this was a sleep-deprived choice but I liked it in the end. So, let’s draw a nub up top. This is the beginning of more strawberry leaves…

So then, draw another cloud shape with the nub in the top middle🍓✨

4. Draw Windows

So next, erase the overlapping outer edge so the strawberry can have its moment. Then, like a real Pinocchio boy strawberry house, draw a small dome on the right of the strawberry for a window.

So now, draw 4 dividing glass sections so you can peep your neighbors tea from inside your strawberry house🌷

Then, I added a simple strawberry leaf windowsill using the same cloud shape as before.

So I then added another oval window on the left. The line art is a bit faded but don’t copy that. Instead, just draw it normally. There’s no fade on the sides for this barber artist.

So then, draw a curved line inside the left window oval so it forms a crescent moon shape. Sometimes, you have to be bold and openly see the neighborhood tea. That’s the slay way, girlies et al🐇🎀

Then, draw a similar windowsill but only do the cloud curves on the bottom side.

So, your door is still a bit empty. I think she needs a wood texture so draw some broken lines following an ‘n’ shape until you reach the center of the door.

5. Draw the House’s Cat Face

Then, draw a rectangle shape above the door. Next, draw a face expression. The ears have to belong to someone and in this case, it’s grumpy Strawbaby Cat (shocker wowow).

Then, that’s the full house sketch! Yay on making it this far💕✨

How to Color the Strawberry House Drawing

1. Add the Flat Colors

So first, color the strawberry main dome light red.

Then, using a thick yellow pen, draw some dots as strawberry seeds.

So next, color the fruit part of the windows and door knob medium red. It’s blasphemy to use the same shade of red throughout — we can’t rob the house parts of their individuality.

Then, color each leaf olive green.

Next, color the cat ears, steps, and the outer border of the door pale yellow. It matches the seeds and makes it pop even more.

Then, color the cat’s face the same yellow color.

So after that, here’s another tiny step. Give Strawbaby Cat his rightful leaf eyes by coloring them green.

Then, we’re gonna go for a snazzy light pink for the door and window panes.

4. Add Slay Shadows

After that, oh my, it’s shadow time. So airbrush red in a sweeping motion along the bottom right of the strawberry fruit. But also, airbrush pink along the wooden lines of the door.

So now, add a small red shadow under the top strawberry leaves 🐇🎀

Then, shade along the outer ears atop the dome and the door. But also, shade yellow along the bottom of the cat’s face.

Then, shade the bottom of each step a darker yellow.

MR. BON TIP 🐇: Remember that if you’re using a ‘Multiply’ layer, you can use the same shade you originally colored with.

So next, our strawberry windows are getting jealous so give the left one a red shadow moment.

5. Airbrush Highlights in a ‘Screen’ Layer

But also, don’t deprive the house of its Fenty glow. Airbrush the pale yellow in a ‘Screen’ layer along the left side of the strawberry dome.

Then, airbrush the inner side of each cat ear in the same screen layer.
