What You’ll Need to Draw a Garlic Clove

I’m not going to gatekeep drawing so you are absolutely welcome to just use what you have to draw with me <3. That includes:

How to Draw a Garlic Clove Step-by-Step

1. Draw a Circle Guideline

So first, draw a literal oval. This is the start of our garlic clove baby ✨

2. Draw the Garlic Outline

So now, draw 3 curves at the bottom, a bit inwards of the circular base🌷

So next, he’s gonna need the rest of his body-ody so at the top third of the circle, slope upwards on both sides until you have the makings of a giraffe neck 🎀

How to Draw a Garlic Clove

Then, connect both sides with a squared top.

But also, erase any offensive lines (some of your circle guideline) getting in the way of your garlic slay. Then, draw 3 small bumps to replace the squared top.

P.S. Girlies et al, this would be a great time to round out the pointy edges so everything is super smooth. I didn’t do that but it’s not too late to save your garlic clove 🐇🎀.

3. Define the Cloves

So now, start drawing some lines to start separating out the individual cloves. Let’s start at the top!

So then, extend this downwards on the left side.

So then, repeat that on the right side!

4. Draw the Garlic’s Hands, Feet, & Expression

Then, give him some feet as 2 small partial ovals. He needs to be able to run away when someone tries to grab one of his cloves.

So now, draw 2 filled in circles for his eyes so he can side eye you when needed. But right now, he’ll just look at you soullessly.

Then, draw 2 skinny half rectangles for his arms so he can throw hands when needed.

And yay! That’s it for the sketch so let’s get coloring🌷

How to Color the Garlic Clove Drawing

So first, color the garlic a flat light purple grey.

So then, airbrush along the bottom and across the major defining lines. She’s shed her awkward vibes and is in the process of “slay”🐇🎀

Then, shade slightly next to the top defining lines so it just has that extra pizzazz✨

But our garlic is missing its Fenty glow which is truly a crime so airbrush white along the left side of the garlic.
